PMMA/PEEK/Wax Burs
A composite Chromium Nitride coating treatment is used for our PMMA/PEEK/Wax burs.
This excellent coating provides lubricity and superior wear and corrosion resistance. It has a very low residual stress, which provides for the best adhesion and ductility. High hardness, low coefficient of friction and the low residual stress combine to resist abrasive and excessive wearing when machining PMMA/PEEK/Wax materials. It is an extremely hard, inert, thin film coating that is applied to offer greater temperature resistance when milling PMMA/PEEK/Wax materials.

For machining Lithium Di-Silicate glass (e.g. Ivoclar e.max™) and porcelain composites, Gro3X is proud to offer diamond plated grinding burs with an advanced abrasive diamond grit in different grain sizes applied by a unique electroplating process. The adhesion of the diamond grit size plays a crucial role in avoiding micro-cracks and reducing the sensitivity to thermal problems. The uniformity of the diamond surface ensures the proper characterization to enhance the abrasion and failure resistance for long endurance run times.
